AL MANAR: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Pendidikan Islam is committed to supporting the long-term preservation, accessibility, integrity, and continuity of its published scholarly content. The journal recognizes digital archiving as an essential part of scholarly publishing and an important means of maintaining the availability and reliability of the academic record.

1. Institutional Archiving

AL MANAR: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Pendidikan Islam, published by STAI Masjid Syuhada Yogyakarta through STAIMS PRESS, is committed to preserving its published scholarly works as part of its institutional responsibility for academic documentation and dissemination.

The journal seeks to maintain appropriate arrangements for preserving published articles and their associated bibliographic information. Institutional archiving arrangements should support the continued accessibility, identification, and retrieval of scholarly publications for researchers, educators, students, and the wider academic community.

2. Electronic Archiving

The electronic archive supports the organization, identification, retrieval, citation, and dissemination of scholarly works published in the fields of communication and Islamic education.

3. Digital Preservation and Content Integrity

AL MANAR recognizes the importance of protecting digital scholarly materials against data loss, technical disruption, unauthorized alteration, and technological obsolescence.

The journal is committed to supporting appropriate digital preservation practices for published article files and relevant metadata, including article titles, author information, abstracts, publication dates, issue details, and Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), where available.

The editorial management and publishing institution shall review available preservation arrangements and support appropriate measures to maintain the integrity, authenticity, and accessibility of published content. Any specific preservation technology or external archiving service will be identified in the journal's policy when its use has been confirmed.

4. Long-Term Accessibility

AL MANAR is committed to maintaining access to its published articles beyond their initial publication dates.

In the event of website maintenance, technical disruption, changes to the publishing platform, or other operational challenges, the journal and its publishing institution will seek to preserve the availability and integrity of previously published scholarly content.

The journal recognizes that continued access to published research is important for scholarly verification, citation, academic transparency, and the cumulative development of knowledge in communication and Islamic education.

5. Preservation of the Scholarly Record

In accordance with its Publication Ethics, AL MANAR recognizes the importance of preserving the scholarly record, including articles that are subject to corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.

Editorial notices must be clearly identified, publicly accessible, and linked to the relevant articles where technically feasible. Such notices should explain the nature of the editorial action and provide a transparent record of changes affecting the publication.

Retracted articles will normally remain accessible with appropriate retraction notices to maintain transparency and preserve the scholarly record, except where exceptional legal, ethical, or safety considerations justify removal. Any removal should be explained transparently to the extent permitted by applicable requirements.

6. Institutional Responsibility and Policy Review

STAI Masjid Syuhada Yogyakarta, through its publishing arrangements and the editorial management of AL MANAR, supports the responsible preservation and continued accessibility of the journal's published scholarly content within the scope of its respective responsibilities.

The journal will periodically review its archiving and digital preservation policy in light of available institutional capabilities, developments in electronic scholarly publishing, and relevant publication-ethics standards.

This policy should be read together with the journal's Publication Ethics, Open Access Policy, Copyright and Licensing Policy, and Corrections and Retractions Policy
