Abstract

Education plays an important role in human behavior to improve the quality of life, so there must be mature thinking for the success of education. To produce good education, it is necessary to have an educational strategy, to improve listening skills can be done with various methods and strategies, including by using the Talkhis Magza strategy, therefore the educational strategy is very important. The strategy of talking his magza according to Radliyah Zaenuddin is to train students' listening by presenting a reading with a certain theme. Then, ask students to analyze using question words. The results of the research by Mega Primaningtyas and Aris Susanti stated that this strategy is very good to use if the students already have and master the vocabulary related to the material provided. Even so, there are still many students whose listening skills are not good. Among the causes of students' weak listening skills is the lack of learning strategies used by teachers. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the Magza Talkhis Strategy in learning listening skills. This study uses a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group design. Through the submission of the hypothesis of tcount ( 3,489) > ttable ( 2,011) with other meanings, HO was rejected. This shows that the use of the Talkhis Magza strategy is effective in learning listening skills.
