Abstract: Prosody is a science that explores the meters of Arabic poetry and the modifications that occur within them, such as zihaf (permissible variations) and illah (flaws/obligatory changes). This research aims to analyze the verses of Arabic poetry titled "Da' Al-Ayyam" (Let the Days Pass) by Imam Al-Shafi'i using prosody, in terms of their deviations from the original meter. Imam Al-Shafi'i was renowned for his poetic and linguistic mastery, which is evident in his composition of poetic verses. Uncovering this through prosody is important for revealing Imam Al-Shafi'i's poetic competence by examining the changes that occur in its feet ( ??????? - tafa'ilat). Indeed, the verses analyzed in this research are well-known among students, particularly in the study of Mahfuzat (memorized texts/poetry), and this is what motivates the researcher to analyze them, so that they [the students] may perceive another aspect besides their meanings. The methodology in this research is a library study for data analysis, and a descriptive-analytical approach was used. The finding of this research is that the meter used is the complete Wafir meter. As for the zihafat and ilal that occurred in its feet, there is one zihaf, which is al-'asab (elision), and one illah, which is al-qat' (truncation).
