Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe and explain the science of Arabic translation through the lens of philosophy of science, with a focus on the dimensions of ontology, epistemology and axiology. This study aims to understand the nature of translation science, how knowledge is obtained and validated in the translation process, as well as the values ??associated with Arabic translation. Ontology in Arabic translation studies explores the existence and nature of translated texts, the relationship between original and translated texts, as well as the structure and fundamental nature of the translation process. The epistemology of translation science examines translation methods and techniques, the accuracy and reliability of the knowledge produced, as well as the cultural and historical context that influences understanding. The axiology of translation science assesses various values ??in the form of use, ethics and aesthetics related to the translation process and results, including accuracy, acceptability and readability. Through a philosophy of science approach, this research seeks to provide in-depth knowledge about the complexity and dynamics involved in Arabic translation science, as well as its contribution to the spread of cross-cultural knowledge and understanding. The results of this research show that the study of the philosophy of science helps reveal the essence, methods and benchmarks of truth in translating Arabic. It is our hope that this research will enrich academic discourse on translation science and offer guidance for translators in maintaining the integrity and value of original texts in their work.
