Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to examine Abu Ali al-Farisi's ideas in the field of nahwu which differ from the madhhabs of Bashrah and Kufa and identify the basis of his thinking in establishing nahwu rules. Abu Ali al-Farisi is one of the important Arabic linguists in the development of nahwu science. He is considered a figure in the Baghdad madhhab who contributed to the field of nahwu. The approach in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The research data are facts and information related to the idea of nahwu and the choice of Abu Ali al-Farisi's rules from the Basrah and Kufa madhhabs and his ijtihad in nahwu as a figure of the Baghdad madhhab. The sources of research data are books, books, scientific journals and studies relevant to this research. The results show that as a figure in the Baghdad madhhab who has new ideas about nahwu through his books, he has also compiled various books that focus on sharaf and qiraat. Like the previous nahwu schools, he used sim?'i, illah, and qiy?s methods to support his nahwu thoughts.
