The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for transforming Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) from conventional administrative tools into intelligent systems capable of supporting data-driven educational management. This study aims to analyze the utilization of AI in the development of EMIS, particularly its contribution to administrative automation, data analytics, predictive decision-making, educational services, and institutional governance. This study employed a qualitative literature review by examining relevant scholarly publications concerning AI, education management information systems, digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and AI governance in education. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis involving identification, categorization, comparison, interpretation, and synthesis of findings from the selected literature. The results indicate that AI integration can strengthen EMIS through five main dimensions: (1) integration of AI into educational information systems, (2) automation of administrative processes, (3) data analytics and predictive decision-making, (4) improvement of educational services and institutional governance, and (5) ethical and organizational governance of AI. The study further demonstrates that AI can transform EMIS from a descriptive information system into a more predictive and intelligent management system. However, successful implementation requires adequate digital infrastructure, high-quality data, competent human resources, data security, privacy protection, and continuous human oversight. The study concludes that AI-enabled EMIS offers a strategic approach to strengthening educational management by integrating technological intelligence with human judgment and ethical governance.
