The Ahmadiyya phenomenon in global Islam represents a significant issue in contemporary Islamic discourse as it encompasses theological, social, and political dimensions of religious life. The doctrinal differences of the Ahmadiyya movement, particularly regarding prophethood and the figure of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, have generated strong opposition from mainstream Islamic scholars and official religious institutions in many Muslim countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Ahmadiyya within global Islamic contexts by examining theological contestation, the role of religious authority, and its implications for social relations and religious policy. The research employs a qualitative library-based approach, analyzing academic literature, religious fatwas, and sociological studies related to Ahmadiyya. The findings reveal that the controversy surrounding Ahmadiyya is shaped not only by doctrinal differences but also by religious authority, identity politics, and majority-minority constructions within Muslim societies. This study concludes that managing internal diversity in Islam requires a balanced approach between theological firmness and the principles of social justice
