This study aims to explore the phenomenon of language change in digital communication carried out by Generation Alpha, namely the generation born after 2010 and growing up in a very intense digital environment. This study adopts an exploratory qualitative approach and refers to interpersonal communication theory and Marshall McLuhan's theory of technology and language, this study analyzes how Generation Alpha forms and uses visual and digital language on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. The data used were obtained through literature studies and content analysis from various digital platforms, specifically highlighting slang as a form of symbolic expression of Gen Alpha. The results of the study show that the language used by Generation Alpha not only functions as a means of communication, but also as a tool to form social identity, express emotions, and reflect the dynamics of digital popular culture. The results of this study emphasize that digital media acts as an agent of linguistic and social transformation, where interpersonal communication in digital form becomes a medium for negotiating meaning, group existence, and forming online communities. This study recommends the importance of cross-generational understanding of new forms of communication in order to create inclusive and adaptive social relationships to the development of communication technology
