Abstrack: This study aims to explore the interrelation between Islamic education, local culture, and the formation of Islamic identity within the context of a multicultural society in the digital era. Employing a phenomenological library research approach and drawing from the theoretical frameworks of Alfred Schutz and Stuart Hall, the study analyzes ten nationally indexed journal articles. The interpretative thematic analysis reveals that Islamic education functions both as an intersubjective space for meaning-making and as a discursive arena for constructing Islamic identities that are dynamic and contextual. The findings also highlight the transformative role of teachers as mediators between Islamic values and digital technologies, as well as the necessity of an adaptive Islamic curriculum to respond to the challenges of value globalization. The main novelty of this research lies in its conceptual synthesis of social phenomenology and cultural identity theory in understanding the complexity of contemporary Islamic education. This study contributes to the development of critical thought and educational policies that are more reflective of the socio-cultural realities of digital society.
