Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning Terhadap Critikal Thinking Siswa Kelas V Pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS Di MI Ma’arif 1 Punggur

Abstract: Education plays an important role in the development of a nation to improve the quality of human resources. Education is the first step to compete in the 21st century. Project-based learning is an ideal learning model to achieve the goals of 21st-century education, because it includes the principles of critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. The low critical thinking skills of students, especially in the water cycle material, students are not active in learning in class and students cannot connect a learning concept in everyday life. The study aims to determine the results of the use of the project-based learning model on the critical thinking of grade V students in the subject of science at MI Ma'arif 1 Punggur. The subjects in this study were grade V. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The research instruments used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the use of the Project Based Learning model on critical thinking of class V students in the subject of Science at MI Ma'arif 1 Punggur is carried out in two stages, namely the preparation stage and the implementation stage, there are five stages of learning implementation, namely: (1) basic questions, (2) designing product planning, (3) preparing a production schedule, (4) developing project results, (5) testing results. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of the Project Based Learning model in learning Science for class V MI Ma'arrif 1 Punggur can provide good results in making students active and think critically.
